Controls are at the center of how you manage and demonstrate your compliance program, but until now, the Vanta Agent could answer questions about controls without truly understanding the state of your environment. That changes with this update.
The Agent can now read your full controls program, including:
Control requirements: what each control demands of your program
Control status: what's passing, failing, or needs attention
Control ownership: who's responsible for what
Mappings between controls and common controls: how your controls connect across frameworks
This means the Agent can now help you actively work through your control environment, not just describe it. Instead of navigating across multiple pages to piece together the state of your program, you can ask the Agent directly and get a clear, structured answer based on your actual data.
