“Trust is a decision, trustworthiness is a property, and assurance is the evidence that connects them.”
When a stakeholder asks, “Can we trust this system?” we often answer with a list of controls.
But that question needs more: What are we relying on the system to do? What happens if it fails? What evidence supports accepting that exposure?
Those answers give someone a basis for a decision.
That’s where GRC can add real value.
